Welcome to my blog!
For my first post, I want to share part of an announcement from Elijah House, entitled Paula Sandford Memorial. (You can read the full article here: http://www.elijahhouse.org/news-articles/article-65/Paula-Sandford-Memorial)
Dear Friends and Family,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the "Homecoming" of our precious sister Paula Sandford.
Paula passed into glory the morning of May 4th, 2012. While we will miss her presence with us, we are celebrating with her! She is now with her first love in a new way!
We at Elijah House are so thankful to God that He placed her precisely where He wanted her to be. Her obedience to God, her living example of His Word, and her pouring out to so many others is part of the enduring legacy that Elijah House will continue to carry on into the future. The vision and heartfelt goals established by John and Paula for Elijah House will proceed with the love and energy of spirit they have infused into our foundation!
I had the privilege of meeting Paula - first in 2008 at the Basic 1 school where she prayed for each of us. Though brief, it had a profound impact on me as God began to unlock a deeply hidden wound. Last summer a group of us were able to visit Paula in her care home where we sang hymns and prayed with her. We could see she responded to the prayers, and joined in some of the singing - her spirit was very much with us still.
The lasting legacy that she leaves is in the countless hearts and lives that have been touched through her ministry with John, her husband, and through the Elijah House family, as well as through the books and messages they produced. I commend them to you.
